Volleyball Recap: Sandhills/Thedford Beats Burwell for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Sandhills/Thedford entered their tilt with Burwell on Tuesday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Longhorns. For the Knights, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 win the Longhorns walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Sandhills/Thedford who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-21, 22-25, 25-18.

Josie Morrow paced Sandhills/Thedford's offense, picking up 12 kills. Morrow got some help from Grace Johnston and her 16 assists.

Sandhills/Thedford's victory bumped their record up to 24-4. As for Burwell, with the defeat, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 16-10.

Coincidentally, Sandhills/Thedford and Burwell will both be playing Anselmo-Merna the next time they take the court. The Longhorns will host the Coyotes at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Knights will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
