Volleyball Recap: San Juan Comes Up Short

San Juan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They came up short against the Rio Vista Rams, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

San Juan was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-23, 25-21.

San Juan's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Rio Vista, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-8.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. San Juan is set to face off against their familiar foe Mesa Verde at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Rio Vista will square off against rival Lindhurst at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
