Volleyball Recap: Bentley Mulkey's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Wadley over Fayetteville + How To Watch

In Thursday's Canine Competition, Wadley didn't have enough. They lost 3-0 to the Fayetteville Wolves on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-6, 25-13.

Wadley's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bentley Mulkey, who had 20 digs. Mulkey is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 20 or more in each of the last seven games she's played. Another player making a difference was Makenzie Overton, who had 19 digs and two blocks.

Wadley's loss dropped their record down to 14-4. As for Fayetteville, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 27-8.

Wadley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Brantley on the 22nd. As for Fayetteville, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against McKenzie on the 22nd.
