Basketball Recap: West Holt Takes a Loss

West Holt was the 61-44 winner over Laurel-Concord-Coleridge when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. The Huskies lost to the Bears at home by a 61-42 margin on Saturday.

Laurel-Concord-Coleridge was led to victory by Cade Johnson and Dayton Korth. Johnson almost dropped a double-double with 26 points and nine rebounds, while Korth almost dropped a double-double with 13 points and nine boards. Those 13 points gave Korth a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tanner Thompson, who posted six points and five boards.

West Holt's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Laurel-Concord-Coleridge, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Holt will host Ord at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Laurel-Concord-Coleridge, they will take on Homer at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
