Basketball Game Preview: Montrose Red Hawks vs. Moffat County Bulldogs

Having just played yesterday, the Montrose Red Hawks will jump right back in to play the Moffat County Bulldogs at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Montrose will be coming into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.

Montrose is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Basalt 60-19 on Thursday. The Red Hawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 21 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Maggie Legg, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in steals. Another player making a difference was Lillian Yender, who went 5 of 7 en route to 10 points.

Meanwhile, Moffat County was fully in charge on Thursday, breezing past Wheat Ridge 49-17. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

Moffat County's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Montrose, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.

Montrose strolled past Moffat County when the teams last played back in December of 2023 by a score of 51-32. Does Montrose have another victory up their sleeve, or will Moffat County turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
