Football Game Preview: Susquehanna Valley Sabers vs. Windsor Central Black Knights

For the first time this season, Susquehanna Valley will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will head out on the road to square off against the Windsor Central Black Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Susquehanna Valley will be strutting in after a victory while Windsor Central will be coming in after a defeat.

Susquehanna Valley is headed out in good spirits considering the team just ended their winless streak on the road against Ithaca on Friday. The Sabers walked away with a 28-18 win over the Little Red.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last five times Windsor Central and Owego Free Academy have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Friday. The Black Knights fell just short of the River Hawks by a score of 10-7. Having soared to a lofty 34 points in the game before, the Black Knights couldn't push the score so high this time.

Susquehanna Valley now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Windsor Central, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Susquehanna Valley was taken down by Windsor Central 47-14 in their previous matchup back in November of 2024. Thankfully for the Sabers, Ashton Werner (who rushed for 196 yards and three scores while picking up 9.8 yards per carry) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
