Carrollwood Day is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They really took it to Melbourne Central Catholic for the full four quarters, racking up a 49-6 win. The Patriots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by 34 points or more this season.
Carrollwood Day got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kameron Battle out in front who rushed for 144 yards and two scores while picking up 8.5 yards per carry. Another pass catcher making a difference was DJ WIlliams, who gained 132 total yards.

Carrollwood Day's defense also made the game a nightmare for the opposing QB, racking up ten sacks. It was truly a group effort as Antonio Thomas, Zylen Little, and Garrett picked up two apiece. Garrett also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with nine. Carrollwood Day received some extra help from Jason Dungy, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Clearwater Central Catholic). They took down Victory Christian Academy 54-35 on Friday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Marauders' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while the Storm are ranked 217th).
Carrollwood Day better focus on containing Khayse Barrett and Corey Simms as the pair were huge in Clearwater Central Catholic's win. Barrett threw for 258 yards and three touchdowns on perfect 13-for-13 passing, while Simms rushed for 159 yards and three TDs while picking up 9.9 yards per carry. Barrett's passing game has become a key predictor of Clearwater Central Catholic's success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise. Pharaoh Tillman was Barrett's top target, picking up 99 receiving yards and one score.
Carrollwood Day's win bumped their record up to 11-0. As for Clearwater Central Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 10-2.
