Redlands had no answer to Hernandez as he went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Hernandez also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

Hernandez's strong effort led Redlands East Valley over Redlands and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats are 9-1 against the Terriers going back to April of 2022, a lead they'll look to extend.
