Baseball Game Preview: Blythewood Bengals vs. Sumter Gamecocks

For the second straight game, Blythewood will face off against Sumter. The Bengals will be playing in front of their home fans against the Gamecocks at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Blythewood 2.2, Sumter 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Blythewood is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Sumter just ended the team's 14-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Gamecocks. The matchup marked the Bengals' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Amare Counts made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run.

The win got Sumter back to even at 8-8. As for Blythewood, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-2.
