Volleyball Recap: Peebles Takes a Loss

Peebles was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Fairfield Lions, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

While Peebles had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 20 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-20, 25-20.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Fairfield to victory, but perhaps none more so than Paisley Stahlhut, who had seven digs and two aces. Stahlhut is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 14 or more in each of the last eight games she's played. Another player making a difference was Addison Cannon, who had four blocks and four aces.

Peebles' defeat dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Fairfield, their win ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 15-7.

Coming up, Peebles will venture away from home to square off against Federal Hocking at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fairfield, they will welcome Paint Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
