Volleyball Recap: Fountain Valley Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Fountain Valley, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Cripple Creek-Victor Pioneers on Saturday. The Danes haven't had any issues with the Pioneers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

The victory didn't come easy: Cripple Creek-Victor scored at least 18 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-20, 25-19.

Keira Llewelyn paced Fountain Valley's offense, picking up nine kills. Llewelyn got some help from Olivia Nunez-Alley and her nine assists.

Fountain Valley now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Cripple Creek-Victor, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.

Looking ahead, Fountain Valley will challenge Thomas MacLaren School at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cripple Creek-Victor, they will square off against Hanover at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
