Football Recap: Providence Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Providence extended their winning streak to three on Friday, bumping them up to 6-2. They walked away with a 28-20 victory over the North Harrison Cougars. The Pioneers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cougars, too.

The critical scores for Providence came from Trenton Taylor, Jacob Evans, and Lincoln Kruer.

As for North Harrison, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6. They gained 89 more yards on the day, but it was Providence that made the best use of them.

When it comes to explaining why North Harrison lost, don't look at Bryce Fessel. Despite the final result, he rushed for 204 yards and three scores. Fessel's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 136 rushing yards.

Providence and North Harrison are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Pioneers are taking a road trip to square off against North Knox at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Providence is facing the Warriors at the right time seeing as the Warriors are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for North Harrison, they will host Corydon Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
