Baucke made his presence known in Yuma's 4-3 loss
Yuma came up short on Saturday despite Silas Baucke delivering his best game to date. Burlington had no answer to Baucke as he struck out 14 batters over 6.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits (and only one walk). Baucke has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive pitching appearances.
Baucke and Yuma are on the road again on Tuesday to play Byers at 3:00 p.m. Baucke has dominated as far as walks are concerned (he's averaged 1.4 per game this season), but he's got his work cut out for him considering Byers has only allowed 4.22 per game this season.
