University City's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Hilltop Lancers with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Centurions in their matchups with the Lancers: they've now won five in a row.

One reason for the win was University City's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-17, 25-16.

Danielle Muttera paced University City's offense, picking up 13 kills. Muttera got some help from Riley Conklin and her 14 assists. Cassiopeia Lewis-Mussa controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

University City's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Hilltop, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. University City will take on Del Norte at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hilltop, they will challenge Foothills Christian at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday.
