Softball Recap: Caledonia Takes a Loss

If Caledonia was feeling good fresh off their 19-0 takedown of Kenowa Hills on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Fighting Scots took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Reeths-Puffer Rockets on Tuesday. The match marked the Fighting Scots' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Caledonia has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Reeths-Puffer, their win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-1.

Reeths-Puffer didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 14-1 victory against Fruitport on the 23rd. Hopefully Caledonia paid attention to the Rockets' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Rockets at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
