Volleyball Recap: Lyons' Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Friday

Lyons and Yuma squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Lyons had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Outlaws. The Lions' loss signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-18, 25-16.

Annabelle Hay paced Lyons' offense, picking up eight kills. Hay got some help from Carmen Dumbauld and her 16 assists. Dumbauld was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Lyons' defeat dropped their record down to 22-3. As for Yuma, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-13.

Lyons does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Yuma, they will square off against Sanford at 9:30 p.m. on Thursday.
