Volleyball Game Preview: Orleans Bulldogs vs. Shoals Jug Rox

The Orleans Bulldogs will square off against the Shoals Jug Rox at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Orleans is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering White River Valley just ended the team's four-match winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Wolverines by a score of 3-2.

While Orleans ultimately came up short, they really made White River Valley work, particularly in the second set. The final score came out to 25-17, 26-24, 21-25, 24-26, 16-14.

Despite the defeat, Orleans had strong showings from Meredith Lantis, who had 28 digs and four assists, and Hayley Hess, who had 20 digs.

Meanwhile, Shoals had already won five in a row and they went ahead and made it six on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Rams.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Shoals took every set by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-15, 25-13.

Orleans' loss dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Shoals, their win bumped their record up to 21-3.

Orleans beat Shoals 3-1 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Jug Rox turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
