Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Averie Wolfe and Macy Kirk Lead Effingham to Victory + How To Watch

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Effingham had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They won by a set and slipped past the St. Anthony Bulldogs 2-1. The victory was nothing new for the Hearts as they're now sitting on three straight.

Effingham had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 26-28, 25-16, 25-23.

Effingham was led to victory by Macy Kirk and Averie Wolfe. Kirk had 15 digs, while Wolfe had nine digs and one assist. Those 15 digs gave Kirk a new career-high.

Effingham's win bumped their record up to 22-14. As for St. Anthony, with the defeat, they broke their ten-match winning streak and moved their record to 28-6.

Coming up, Effingham will be taking part in a tournament against Teutopolis at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. St. Anthony does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
