Volleyball Recap: Independence Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Independence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Battlefield Bobcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Battlefield this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in September.

Independence took Battlefield into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking seven-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 21-25, 22-25, 25-22, 15-8.

Independence's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Battlefield, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-7.

Independence wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Osbourn on the 9th. Battlefield has also already played their next contest (against Unity Reed), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
