Baseball Game Preview: Conestoga Valley Buckskins vs. Shaler Area Titans

The Conestoga Valley Buckskins will venture away from home to square off against the Shaler Area Titans at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.

Conestoga Valley heads in on the heels of a playoff game on Tuesday. They fell just short of Elizabethtown by a score of 1-0. The shutout was out of character for the Buckskins seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in April.

Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Shaler Area ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They came out on top against Pine-Richland by a score of 5-2. Winning may never get old, but the Titans sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Colby Weber tossed a big game, striking out 13 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Colby Mcguire, who went 1-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Shaler Area's win bumped their record up to 16-6. As for Conestoga Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-10-1.
