Basketball Recap: Rancho Solano Prep Gets Big Win over Higher-Ranked Seabury Hall

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Glacier Peak, Rancho Solano Prep was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They walked away with a 69-60 win over the Seabury Hall Spartans. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Mustangs' disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 85th in Arizona, while the Spartans are ranked seventh in Hawaii).

Rancho Solano Prep pushed their record up to 11-5 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.0 points per game. As for Seabury Hall, their loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rancho Solano Prep won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Kamehameha Maui at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Seabury Hall, they will also get right back to it: they'll face off against Hana at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hana has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
