Recap: Independence vs. Verrado
The Independence Patriots had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They never let Verrado onto the board and left with a 1-0 win on Thursday. The victory was familiar territory for Independence who now have nine in a row.
Their one-goal win came courtesy of
Julianna Palacios, who's now up to 14 this season.
Independence has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4-1 record this season. As for Verrado, they now have a losing record at 7-8-2.
Independence will head out on the road to face off against Casteel at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Independence is coming into the match with four straight victories on the road, so Casteel is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum. Verrado does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
