Volleyball Game Preview: Northwest Guilford Vikings vs. Reagan Raiders

The Northwest Guilford Vikings will face off against the Reagan Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Northwest Guilford took a loss when they played away from home back in March, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed last Wednesday. They blew past Glenn 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-10, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Reagan was able to grind out a solid victory over East Forsyth on Friday, taking the game 3-1.

Reagan had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-8, 25-20, 25-19.

Reagan now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Northwest Guilford, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-1.

Northwest Guilford couldn't quite get it done against Reagan in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Vikings avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
