Buffalo Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 14-4 to the Maine South Hawks. On the bright side, the four- run effort marked the Bison's highest-scoring matchup to date.

Buffalo Grove saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sammi Wolverton, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

Buffalo Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Maine South, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Buffalo Grove will face off against Niles West at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Maine South, they will square off against Vernon Hills at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
