Research Triangle came tearing into Monday's match with seven straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Franklin Academy Patriots 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in August.

Research Triangle walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-16, 25-21.

Research Triangle found their leader in sophomore Kat Liquorie, who had 18 digs and three assists.

Research Triangle was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 20 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Research Triangle's record is now 11-2. As for Franklin Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-11.

Research Triangle wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Roxboro Community on the 16th. As for Franklin Academy, they have also already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Voyager Academy on the 16th.
