Basketball Game Preview: Northview Vikings vs. West Covina Bulldogs

The Northview Vikings will square off against the West Covina Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Northview is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Northview is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest defeat since December 5, 2024 on Tuesday. They took a blow against Rowland, falling 56-28. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1042nd, while the Raiders are ranked 487th).

Meanwhile, West Covina hadn't done well against Charter Oak recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. West Covina walked away with a 54-41 victory over Charter Oak.

West Covina has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.1 points per game. As for Northview, their loss dropped their record down to 8-15.
