Baseball Game Preview: Kennedy Thunderbirds vs. Chavez Titans

For the second straight game, Kennedy will face off against Chavez. The Thunderbirds will welcome the Titans at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Kennedy has three straight wins, Chavez has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Kennedy took a six-run defeat the last time they faced off against Chavez, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Thunderbirds came out on top in a nail-biter against the Titans on Tuesday, sneaking past 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Thunderbirds have posted since May 1, 2025.

Jorge Vega spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on seven hits.
