Basketball Recap: Ponderosa Starts Season with Loss on the Road + How To Watch

Ponderosa kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost to the Centaurus Warriors on the road by a 53-38 margin. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it eight in a row.

Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mason Ripp, who posted 12 points. Damion Rios was another key player, putting up five points in addition to seven rebounds and five steals.

Centaurus was led to victory by Jt Falzone and Nick Jones. Falzone almost dropped a double-double with 14 points and nine boards, while Jones earned seven points and eight rebounds. Those nine boards gave Falzone a new career-high.

Centaurus has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Ponderosa didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 76-34 defeat against Frederick on the 6th. As for Centaurus, they have also already played their next matchup, a 49-12 victory against Northridge on the 6th.
