Basketball Recap: West Seneca East Takes a Loss

West Seneca East lost against Cheektowaga on January 3rd and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The West Seneca East Trojans took a hard 78-60 fall against the Cheektowaga Chargers.

When it comes to explaining why West Seneca East lost, don't look at Maxwell Czora. Despite the final result, he went 7 of 14 en route to 16 points. The dominant performance also gave Czora a new career-high in assists (four). Craig Leslie was another key player, going 6 for 15 on his way to 15 points.

West Seneca East has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Cheektowaga, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

West Seneca East will welcome Lake Shore at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Cheektowaga, they will face off against Lackawanna at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Cheektowaga's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
