Basketball Game Preview: Brewer Patriots vs. Hartselle Tigers + Official Tickets

Brewer is 1-9 against Hartselle since November of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Patriots will head out to face off against the Tigers at 7:15 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Brewer can't be too happy about their upcoming road contest considering what happened when they opened their season away from home on Monday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 57-56 to Danville. While the Patriots didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Hawks 19-13 in the first quarter.

Despite the defeat, Brewer got top-tier performance from Camden Ballinger, who shot 67% from the field en route to 27 points and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jansen Brown, who posted ten points.

Meanwhile, Hartselle played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against Mountain Brook, falling 70-47. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Spartans recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Brewer came up short against Hartselle in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 47-41. Can the Patriots avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
