Baseball Recap: St. Marys Comes Up Short

St. Marys lost to Hiawatha back in March and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Bears fell just short of the Red Hawks by a score of 5-4.

St. Marys has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Hiawatha, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-4-1.

St. Marys wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 6-1 win against Riley County on the 13th. As for Hiawatha, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 12-0 defeat against Silver Lake on the 13th.
