Baseball Recap: Elizabeth Forward Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Elizabeth Forward, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They never let the Belle Vernon Leopards get on the board and left with a 7-0 victory on Monday. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by seven runs or more this season.

The result came thanks to Cy Herchelroath's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up eight Ks. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 5.2 strikeouts per game.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Charlie Nigut, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. That double was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of AJ Grese, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Elizabeth Forward is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.
