Winchester Community entered their tilt with Monroe Central on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 39-37 win over the Monroe Central Golden Bears. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Golden Falcons have posted since February 3, 2024.

Winchester Community's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Carter Campbell led the charge by going 6 for 13 on his way to 13 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucas Tarter, who posted ten points and seven rebounds.

Winchester Community pushed their record up to 7-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Monroe Central, with the loss, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-2.
