Softball Recap: Brentsville District's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Monday

It was a good run, but Brentsville District unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of the Kettle Run Cougars by a score of 9-8. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-6 back in April.

Kate Search made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. McKenzie Kolesar was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

Brentsville District's defeat dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Kettle Run, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Coming up, Brentsville District will square off against Fauquier at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Falcons will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight. Kettle Run does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
