Volleyball Game Preview: Trinity Christian School of Griffin LIONS vs. Konos Academy Condor

Trinity Christian School of Griffin is 1-6 against Konos Academy since October of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The LIONS will face off against the Condor at 5:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Trinity Christian School of Griffin took a loss when they played away from home last Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They blew past Skipstone Academy 3-0. The LIONS haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

While Trinity Christian School of Griffin won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-16, 25-23.

Carsen Hale was nothing short of spectacular: she had seven digs and four aces.

Hale wasn't the only good servers: Trinity Christian School of Griffin was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 17 aces. The LIONS are 7-2 when they serve at least ten aces.

Meanwhile, Konos Academy sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over Creekside Christian Academy on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Condor have posted against the Cougars since October 3, 2022.

In the three sets Konos Academy was on fire: they won each by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 15-25, 21-25, 25-15, 15-3.

Trinity Christian School of Griffin now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Konos Academy, their win bumped their record up to 6-12.
