Football Recap: Friday's Defeat Ends Haddonfield's Winning Streak

Haddonfield and Camden squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Haddonfield had to settle for second. They took a hard 37-18 fall against the Panthers. The defensive woes were uncharacteristic for the Bulldawgs, who until this matchup were averaging 13.5 points allowed.

James Farrell threw for 79 yards and one TD. Michael Keenan was his top target, picking up 82 receiving yards and one score.

Ahmad Jones continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Camden, throwing for 249 yards and three touchdowns while completing 80.8% of his passes, and also rushing for 54 yards and one TD. Jones is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in each of the last five games he's played. Talib Shakir got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.

The defeat snapped Haddonfield's winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 9-3 record. As for Camden, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-2.

Haddonfield and Camden should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps New Jersey Rankings. The Bulldawgs (ranked 26th) will meet Haddon Heights (ranked 221st) at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Camden will challenge Eastside at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (11 vs. 114).
