After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mt. Zion, Litchfield was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Lincolnwood Lancers a 7-0 shutout. Considering the Purple Panthers have won six matchups by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Max Leitschuh made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 13 over seven innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances.
