Central was not the first on the board on Friday, but they got there more often. They were the clear victors by a 24-3 margin over the Brawley Wildcats. The result was nothing new for the Spartans, who have now won four matchups by 21 points or more so far this season.

Among those leading the charge was Emiliano Morales, who rushed for seven yards and one score, and also caught one touchdown. An impressive showing, but he really ramped things up playing D: he made ten total tackles (3.0 for loss) and defended two passes. Cj Acosta was in the mix as well, providing Central with one TD.

Central's run defense was locked in: Brawley could only muster 3.1 yards per carry. The team can thank Joseph Aispuro for the heroic effort on defense: he. Sadly, that's becoming something of a trend for Central; they were averaging 3.9yards per carry per game earlier this season, but in their last three games they've fallen to only 3 per game.

The win made it two in a row for Central and bumps their season record up to 8-2. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 29.5 points over those games. As for Brawley, they dropped their record down to 2-8 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Central will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Bishop's at 7:00 p.m. on the 14th. As for Brawley, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 37-16 defeat against Christian on the 7th.
