D1 District 2 (8 Man) recap Nov. 7, 2012
Howells-Dodge extended the longest winning streak in D1 District 2 (8 Man) this week by beating Guardian Angels Central Catholic, 44-24. The victory was the 10th in a row for the team.
Howells-Dodge took down the Bluejays 44-24 last week, the largest margin of any game. Matthew Gooch ran for 220 yards in the win.
Thanks to the talents of Casey Wisnieski and Gooch Mike Speirs' team has been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Wisnieski leads the league in passing with 447 yards, while Gooch has rushed for 1176 yards this season. Clarkson/Leigh's Thomas Urban leads the league in receiving yards with 240 on 12 catches.
In 148 carries Dalton Daegas-Pinkerton has accumulated 924 yard this year.
The Jaguars led the league in scoring this week after putting up 44 points on Guardian Angels Central Catholic. Gooch in the win.
