Volleyball Recap: Nogales Takes a Loss

Nogales came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Cienega Bobcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

While Nogales was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-15, 25-23.

Cienega got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Alexandria LeMaster out in front who had eight digs and three aces. What's more, LeMaster racked up 16 assists, the most she's had since October 1st. Another player making a difference was Cherie Addington, who had seven digs and three aces.

Nogales' loss dropped their record down to 4-19. As for Cienega, their record is now 12-9.

Nogales has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Pueblo on the 29th. As for Cienega, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Desert View on the 29th.
