Valley Regional had to settle for second on Saturday, but Carley Spearrin sure wasn't going down easily. Spearrin wasn't messing around, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. The match was her third straight with at least one stolen base.

Spearrin and Valley Regional will challenge Haddam-Killingworth at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Sadly, Spearrin's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Warriors' five-game streak of wins at home.
