Volleyball Recap: Whitfield Comes Up Short

Whitfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Notre Dame Rebels. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warriors of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-16, 20-25, 25-22, 25-10.

Despite the loss, Whitfield saw an underclassman step up: freshman Charli Richards had 19 digs and two assists.

Whitfield's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Notre Dame, the win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 4-9.

Whitfield wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Westminster Christian on the 27th. Notre Dame has also already played their next match (against Rosati-Kain), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
