Volleyball Recap: West Franklin Takes a Loss

West Franklin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Osage City Indians. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Indians this season, with their most recent defeat being a 2-0 loss last Tuesday.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-16.

Leading Osage City to victory were Emory Speece and Jada Ruiz. Speece had 11 digs and one assist, while Ruiz had seven digs. Speece is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last six games she's played.

West Franklin's defeat dropped their record down to 9-23. As for Osage City, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-12 record this season.

West Franklin wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Cherryvale on the 20th. As for Osage City, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Galena on the 20th.
