Football Recap: Douglass Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Douglass's offense. They were dealt a 56-0 defeat at the hands of the Elgin Owls on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma football rankings (they are ranked 167th, while the Owls are ranked 12th).

Douglass is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5. As for Elgin, their victory bumped their record up to 8-0.

Coming up, Douglass will look to defend their home field on Friday against Cache at 7:00 a.m. The Trojans will be up against the Bulldogs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 33.29 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Elgin, they will take on Clinton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
