Volleyball Recap: Saturday's Win Is South Elgin's Fourth in Last Five Outings

While South Elgin didn't have the best season last year (they finished 13-21), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against the Romeoville Spartans by a score of 2-0 on Saturday.

Luka Jovanovic paced South Elgin's offense, picking up seven kills. Jovanovic got some help from Tyler Aluquin and his seven assists. Mark Ethan De Leon and Damian Hernandez kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

South Elgin is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Romeoville, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

South Elgin wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Lake Park on the 12th. As for Romeoville, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against West Aurora on the 12th.
