Volleyball Recap: Fruitport Finds Home Court Redemption Against Calvin Christian

There's no place like home for Fruitport, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Calvin Christian Squires 3-2 on Thursday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Trojans as it spelled an end to their three-match losing streak.

Fruitport wouldn't go down easily and took Calvin Christian into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-21, 25-15, 22-25, 15-12.

Fruitport's win bumped their record up to 20-10-1. As for Calvin Christian, they dropped their record down to 12-9-3 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Coming up, Fruitport will head out to take on NorthPointe Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Calvin Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Forest Hills Northern at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
