Cary-Grove waltzed into their match on Monday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Grayslake North Knights 65-30. Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 84th, while the Knights are ranked 472nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Cary-Grove pushed their record up to 23-7 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 22.2 points over those games. As for Grayslake North, their loss dropped their record down to 10-22.

As of now, neither Cary-Grove nor Grayslake North have any future games scheduled.
