Basketball Game Preview: Camarillo Scorpions vs. Vasquez Mustangs

The Camarillo Scorpions and the Vasquez Mustangs will face off at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest, having both just played. Vasquez took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Camarillo, who comes in off a win.

Vasquez will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Camarillo extended their winning streak to three on Monday. The Scorpions walked away with a 41-29 victory over West Ranch.

Meanwhile, Vasquez came up short against Crescenta Valley on Monday and fell 78-70.

Camarillo will need to focus on slowing down Daeron Bankett, one of several Vasquez players who made an impact when they last played. He shot 67% from the field en route to 20 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. Noah Rowley was another key player, going 8-for-11 on his way to 18 points and four steals.

Camarillo's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Vasquez, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
