Baseball Recap: Arcadia Comes Up Short

Arcadia lost against Saguaro last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Titans took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sabercats. The Titans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Arcadia got a good showing from Gehrig Heil, who pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. Heil has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Grant Erickson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was LJ Donahue, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Arcadia's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Saguaro, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-9-1.

Coming up, Arcadia will head out to square off against Mesquite at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Saguaro, they will host Chaparral at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
