Football Game Preview: Nevada Cubs vs. Knoxville Panthers

Nevada has gone a perfect 5-0 against Knoxville recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Cubs will challenge the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. Nevada's defense has only allowed 14.2 points per game this season, so Knoxville's offense will have their work cut out for them.

On Friday, Nevada beat Des Moines Christian 21-14. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cubs.

Meanwhile, Knoxville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were beaten by Williamsburg 48-15. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa football rankings (they are ranked 225th, while the Raiders are ranked 54th).

Nevada's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Knoxville, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.

Everything came up roses for Nevada against Knoxville in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 49-0 victory. Do the Cubs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
